    The Civil Aviation Authority has activated 8 agreements in the fields of air transport to European and Arab destinations, while negotiations have begun with the International Finance Corporation (IFC) to develop Baghdad International Airport.  
    The authority's spokesman, Jihad Al-Diwan, said in an interview with the official newspaper, followed by "Al-Iqtisad News", that the authority has implemented international agreements with 6 countries, namely Britain, Russia, Italy, Romania, Hungary and Venezuela, in the areas of air traffic and coordination with those countries to provide facilities for travelers, as well as developing capabilities. Training for inspectors of the Civil Aviation Authority, and benefiting from its expertise in this field.  
    He added that the authority concluded two agreements with the United Arab Emirates and Syria to activate joint operating agreements and facilitate the work of airlines.  
    The Bureau indicated that there are discussions to open new air destinations with Venezuela and Hungary, and direct lines between Iraq and the United Kingdom by reactivating the air transport agreement between the two countries, noting that the activation of these agreements will contribute to restoring Iraqi air traffic to its normal position among those countries. .  
    And he indicated that the operations of developing Baghdad International Airport will be implemented through investment through the International Finance Corporation (IFC), based on the directives of Prime Minister Muhammad Shia Al-Sudani, as the authority has begun negotiations with the Corporation in this regard.
