    A member of the Parliamentary Finance Committee, Mustafa Al-Karawi, confirmed, on Wednesday, that the committee seeks to divert the region’s oil towards internal use, in order to preserve the amount of exports and not be affected in the event that Turkey stops exports through its territory.

    Al-Karawi told Al-Maalouma, "The Finance Committee suggested diverting the region's oil towards domestic domestic use, instead of heading towards exporting it abroad, especially since there are some problems that have occurred recently regarding stopping exports to Turkey." 
    He added, "The demand to transfer the region's oil to internal use comes in order to preserve the exported quantities of oil, as well as to preserve the quantities produced at home." 
    And he indicated that "the Finance Committee has worked to confirm the aforementioned paragraphs in order to include them in a law so that they are binding for application in relation to the region as well as the center, as it is a step towards preserving the amount of exports and not being affected in the event that Turkey stops exports through its territory." ended 25 n
