The House of Representatives is scheduled to vote during its session, which will be held today, Thursday, on the draft federal budget law for the fiscal years (2023.2024.2025).
The representative of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan bloc, Dr. Briar Rashid, said during a special statement to PUKMEDIA: The House of Representatives has no choice but to vote on the draft federal budget law, and even the political agreements provide for passing the budget in today's Thursday session.
He added: All parliamentary blocs support passing the budget bill during today's session, because delaying the budget is not in the interest of any party. Yes, it is true that there are differences over some budget items, but efforts are directed towards voting on the draft in today's session.
He explained: Some differences may appear about the draft budget law, but those differences will be resolved inside the parliament hall, and the budget bill will be passed.
For its part, the Media Department of the House of Representatives announced, today, Thursday, that the House of Representatives session will be postponed until 8:00 pm today.
The media department said in a statement: "The House of Representatives decided to postpone holding its session until eight o'clock this evening."
