Today, Wednesday, the General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers revealed a governmental move with the National Investment Commission in order to reconsider the distribution of investment housing complexes in places to be determined later, while stressing that the main conditions that allow the granting of investment licenses are to move away from cities.
“The government is studying setting several determinants and conditions for granting investment licenses according to the new urban planning,” said Haider Majeed, a spokesman for the Municipality, in a press interview seen by Taqaddam, noting that “one of the determinants is that investments do not conflict with the population situation and basic designs.”
And he continued, "The file of building stores and commercial malls will be discussed and removed from the population density within cities and main streets," noting that "the most important main conditions that allow the granting of investment licenses are moving away from cities."
Majeed concluded, "The government's move with the National Investment Commission came in conjunction with the government's project to build new cities that will be distributed to eligible groups at subsidized prices."
And the Prime Minister, Muhammad Shia Al-Sudani, had confirmed in a speech on the sidelines of the opening ceremony of the new Amwaj International Residential Company project that “the government is currently moving towards building integrated residential cities, not just residential complexes,” adding that “the current trend is towards the expansion of residential cities outside city centers.” and governorates by providing economic and service activities.
