Today, Saturday, the Parliamentary Finance Committee commented on postponing the vote on some articles of the budget law.

Committee member Jamal Cougar said in a press statement, “The vote on some articles of the budget law has been postponed, due to political differences over them. There is no consensus to proceed with these paragraphs, and there are many proposals regarding those paragraphs submitted by more than one political party.”

And Cougar indicated that “passing the paragraphs on which the vote was postponed within the budget law requires political consensus, and we believe we need more time in order to achieve this consensus so that the deferred paragraphs are passed.”
