    Baghdad today - Baghdad
A member of the Parliamentary Finance Committee, Uday Awad, revealed today, Wednesday, the sums of the investment budget for Basra Governorate and the Kurdistan Region.
Awad said in a post I followed (Baghdad Today), that "the investment budget for Basra Governorate is (2) trillion and (891) billion Iraqi dinars, and the investment budget for the Kurdistan region is (338) billion dinars only."
He pointed out that "there is another increase for Basra's share of social benefits funds, and in the event that the price of a barrel of oil exceeds (70) dollars, what the central government owes to Basra will be paid."
And at dawn last Monday, the House of Representatives approved the draft federal budget law for the fiscal years (2023, 2024, 2025), which is the largest in Iraq's history since 2003.
