    A member of the Parliamentary Finance Committee, Representative Mudar Al-Karawi, ruled out, on Saturday, re-raising the issue of the salary scale in the near future, after raising it greatly before approving the 2023 budget.
    Al-Karawi said, in an interview with Al-Maalouma, that "the salary scale is still in the corridors of the government, and there is a central committee that is concerned with preparing its exact items and details," pointing out that "raising The issue in the short term is unlikely because it needs several important points, the most prominent of which is drawing a road map that contributes to In achieving the principle of justice and fairness for millions of employees who have been suffering for many years from a large Disparity in salaries and financial dues between a ministry and an institution.
    He added, "The Finance Committee supports approving a salary scale for all employees of the Iraqi state, so that competence, experience, and years of service are the main criterion for determining salaries and nothing else," stressing that "the decision to set a date for putting the file forward is directly linked to the government.”
    A member of the Finance Committee indicated that "the salary scale will address major errors that emerged after 2003 in terms of salaries, and will ensure that the transfer file between ministries is limited due to the disparity in financial benefits."
