A member of the Parliamentary Legal Committee, Omid Muhammad, affirmed, on Sunday, Parliament’s intention to pass a set of important laws during the next legislative term, indicating that priority will be given to service projects.

Omid said in an interview with the information agency, "There are laws that will have priority in the legislative work for the next stage, as well as other laws that have completed the first and second readings."
He added, "The important legislation that we will work to approve is the draft law on the Federal Court, civil service and service laws," pointing out that "the legislation of all these laws is very important because it touches the reality of the Iraqi street."
He pointed out that "there are a number of laws awaiting approval during the new legislative term, some of which have reached the stage of voting and others within the first or second readings."
A member of the Legal Committee pointed out, "The dispute over some laws needs political consensus to expedite their passage within the House of Representatives."
And the head of the Parliamentary Legal Committee, Muhammad Anouz, had criticized, during a previous statement to Al-Maalouma, “Parliament Speaker Muhammad Al-Halbousi for obstructing the legislation of important laws, while he indicated that there is political interference in the legislation of laws.
