Today, Sunday, the Ministry of Commerce announced the continuation of updating data in 5 governorates to issue the electronic ration card, while indicating the date of updating the data in the capital, Baghdad.
The Director General of the Planning and Follow-up Department in the Ministry, Ibtihal Hashim, said in an interview with the Iraqi News Agency, which was followed by "Al-Iqtisad News", that "the department continues in cooperation with the World Food Program to update the data currently in 5 provinces to issue the electronic ration card, including the province of Najaf, which is still updating." In it is continuing, as well as the provinces of Kirkuk, Dohuk and Muthanna, in addition to the laboratory supply center in Sadr City in Baghdad," noting that "the modernization process will be successively for the rest of the provinces."
He added, "Currently, electronic cards are being printed in Baghdad, where the Al-Mutanabi Supply Branch and the Sayyid Al-Shuhada branch have been completed," stressing, "The cards will continue to be printed for the rest of the supply branches."
He pointed out that the process of updating data in Baghdad governorate will begin after the blessed Eid al-Adha holiday, calling on citizens to update their data.
He stressed the need to "review the Ministry of the Interior in order to issue the unified card for those who do not possess it, because the electronic ration card is linked to the unified card."
