    The head of the Parliamentary Family and Childhood Committee, Dina Al-Shammari, stressed, on Tuesday, the importance of approving the child protection bill for future generations, indicating that the parliament will present the law for a second reading during the next legislative term.

    Al-Shammari told Al-Maalouma, "Her committee is seeking to pass the Child Protection Law in consultation with the political forces, as the first reading of the draft has been completed and is awaiting the report of the Child and Family Committee and the amendments and proposals thereon.”
    She added, "The law aims to protect children from all acts or abuses that are neglected, abused, or ill-treatment." 
    And she pointed out that "the law will see the light during the next legislative term, as it represents great importance," noting that "the law includes many important paragraphs that give positive results on children's lives and protect them from social violence. End / 25h
