Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) -MP Shirwan al-Waeli, of the Iraqi National Alliance called on the Iraqi Foreign Ministry to officially address the Syrian authorities to avoid engaging Iraq in the internal conflicts in Syria.
Waeli said “The Iraqi arena witnessed over the past days serious events represented by clashes at the borders with Syria when terrorist groups ambushed a convoy belongs to Syrian soldiers returning to Syria who escaped the violence in their country, accompanied by Iraqi soldiers. The ambush resulted in killing 48 Syrian soldiers and 9 Iraqi soldiers.”
“We call the Iraqi government to take tight preventive measures at the Iraqi-Syrian borders,” he added warning from continuity of violating Iraq’s sovereignty by the dispute sides in Syria.”
