    On Sunday, the Prime Minister, Muhammad Shia'a al-Sudani, discussed the completion of the new Sadr City construction project, while approving the preliminary structural designs of the project after a detailed presentation by the company in charge of preparing it.
    Al-Sudani's office stated, in a statement received by Al-Maalooma, that "the Prime Minister chaired the meeting on the reconstruction of Sadr City and followed up the procedures for resolving land ownership belonging to the Ministries of Finance, Construction, Housing, Municipalities and Public Works, and resolving the file of abuses on the land allocated for the project, according to administrative and legal mechanisms." .
    Al-Sudani affirmed, "The government's determination to complete this important strategic project, in a way that meets the needs of citizens, and contributes real to addressing the overpopulation crisis in the areas east of the capital, Baghdad, in addition to its importance in moving the wheel of the private sector, and providing thousands of job opportunities for young people in various fields." terms of reference,” stressing “the importance of expediting the completion and resolution of files related to the project, and overcoming all obstacles that stand in its way.”
    The Prime Minister directed to "allocate land for the establishment of an integrated university city in the areas east of the canal, in parallel with the new city project."
    The meeting witnessed "discussing the requirements for completing the project, with regard to the financial situation, financing mechanisms, discussing the investment of the project's power station, as well as reviewing the report of the General Commission for Survey regarding the lands located next to the project, and resolving all the required steps to start implementation." Ended/25 h
