    Information / Baghdad...
A member of the Parliamentary Oil and Natural Resources Committee, Kazem Al-Touki, confirmed, on Monday, that Iraq has the ability to drag Turkey to the international court over illegal oil exports, pointing out that Baghdad has pressure cards that it can use with Ankara to guarantee the country's water rights.

Al-Touki told Al-Maalouma that "oil exports stopped through Turkey after it was fined by the International Court for oil exports for the years 2018-2019, in violation of the law."
He added, "Iraq has the possibility to fine and punish Turkey and obtain compensation for oil exports passing through its territory in violation of the law in the past years."
Al-Touki indicated that "Iraq can obtain sums of up to 10 billion dollars from Turkey for oil exports."
And he indicated that "Iraq has the economic card that it can invest in properly, in order to obtain its rights related to the share of water supplied to it through Turkey." ended 25 n
