Because of corruption files... More than 50 deputies are calling for the interrogation of the Iraqi Minister of Immigration

Shafaq News/ The representative of the Kurdistan Democratic Party, Vian Dakhil, announced on Monday her intention to interrogate the Minister of Immigration and Displacement, Evan Faiq Jabro, because of "corruption files" in the ministry.
Dakhil said in an interview with Shafaq News agency, "I collected more than 50 signatures from members of the House of Representatives to interrogate the Minister of Immigration and Displaced, due to the existence of major corruption files in the ministry."
The deputy added, "Among the corruption files are the food basket project, the camps for the displaced, and the financial grant. We have reports from the Financial Supervision Bureau, as well as other files."
"We will submit the request for interrogation to the Speaker of Parliament, and then the date for the interrogation will be set in one of the next sessions," the representative of the Kurdistan Democratic Party said.
The Yazidi deputy, affiliated with the Kurdistan Democratic Party, Vian Dakhil, accused, on May 14, 2023, the Iraqi Minister of Migration and Displacement, Evan Faeq Jabro, of taking arbitrary action and attempting "cheap" blackmail, in a letter she sent to Prime Minister Muhammad Shia' al-Sudani, the United Nations, and the Council of Ministers. Representatives and human rights organizations, indicating that the minister stopped updates on the disbursement of financial grants to the displaced.
