Committee member Jawad al-Bolani said, in an interview with "Al-Sabah", that "the committee's meeting with the Minister of Defense was about the visit of the Ministry of Defense delegation to Washington, to explain the overall dialogues it had with the American side towards agreements that promote the transfer of responsibilities to an Iraqi national cadre during a specific period." ".
He stressed that "the committee affirms - as an Iraqi side - the transfer of all tasks, responsibilities, consultations, technical and logistical matters to a specialized Iraqi national cadre that helps manage the files."
Al-Bolani added, "These files cost Iraq huge sums, and there are unnecessary costs that can be bypassed, reconsidering some contexts and defining duties and tasks," explaining that "the cornerstone of these agreements is the issue of aviation, developing Iraq's air force and capacity, and expanding its capabilities in the field of communications and traffic issues." air force, air control, etc.
He also stressed that "the Iraqi naval force must be part of these vital agreements, and that there are terms of reference that represent the sovereignty of the state that need to be put in place a special paper such as the Strategic Framework Agreement and the US Strategic Security Agreement to correct them to meet the existing circumstances and challenges."
He explained, "The committee demanded that its members be observers of these agreements, and we have formed a main committee to implement them on the ground."
