    Information / Bagdad ...
A member of the Parliamentary Services Committee, Representative Baqir Al-Saadi, confirmed, on Thursday, that the project of 90,000 housing units in Baghdad is about to start.

Al-Saadi said, in an interview with Al-Maalouma, that "the housing crisis is chronic in light of the accumulated errors in this file, which has not been resolved despite the existence of government capabilities."
He added, "His committee, in coordination with the government, has drawn up a road map in 3 important directions, which is identifying the areas to be converted into residential plots and transferring the population weight to the outskirts, with the need to secure services before distribution within the framework of an integrated plan to build model neighborhoods, not random ones."
He pointed out that "90,000 housing units will be distributed soon in the areas of Al-Sadr, Al-Shula, Al-Hamidiyah and Diyala Bridge in Baghdad to different segments, including retirees, families of martyrs, and even widows and divorced women. They will have a share within the framework of a comprehensive government vision to end the suffering of the people."
Baghdad suffers from a suffocating housing crisis in the past years, which prompted the emergence of slums and abuses on public property. End 25 F
