Economic expert Safwan Qusay explained, on Sunday, the mechanism of compensating oil exports after stopping exports to Turkey, pointing to the possibility of exporting through other methods to compensate for the shortfall in exports allowed through OPEC.

Qusai told Al-Maalouma, "There is a possibility to maximize Iraq's oil exports after they stopped through the Kurdistan region towards Turkey, as Iraq's export share is close to 3.7 million barrels, but the recent reductions made exports around 3.5 million barrels per day."
He added, "What is currently produced is 3.3 million barrels, and there is room to increase Iraq's exports through the southern outlets. It seems that the visit of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan to Iraq can announce the resumption of the export of Kirkuk and Kurdistan oil towards the Turkish port of Ceyhan."
And he indicated that "the Ministry of Oil has an attempt to revive the Syrian port of Baniyas line, as well as the possibility of increasing pumping to the Jordanian side through trucks, or exporting oil by transporting it in tankers towards Iran and Turkey." ended 25 n
