    Kurdish leader Masoud Barzani met, on Monday evening, in the city of Dohuk, with representatives of society's segments, including religious scholars, dignitaries and craftsmen.[/size]
    [size=45]During the meeting, President Barzani delivered a speech to the audience, and at the beginning of his speech he shed light on the political situation in the Kurdistan Region.[/size]
    [size=45]The Kurdish leader confirmed that he had always worked for unity among the political parties in the Kurdistan Region, stressing that "unity is the basis for achieving success and victory, but the basic condition for unity is the belief of all parties in the freedom of the people of Kurdistan and their legitimate cause."[/size]
    [size=45]President Barzani referred to "the history of attempts to eliminate and marginalize the people of Kurdistan on the part of the Iraqi state in the past century," noting that "after 2003 there was a new opportunity to address problems on the basis of partnership, balance and consensus, and adherence to the constitution, but what is unfortunate is that until now The constitution and agreements are not respected, and by playing with the laws, there are some attempts to weaken or eliminate the Kurdistan Region.[/size]

    [size=45]He explained, "The people of Kurdistan should rely on themselves and their capabilities, and for this purpose, the regional government has developed a program to diversify sources of income in the Kurdistan Region and provide job opportunities for young people."[/size]
    [size=45]During his speech, President Barzani touched on "the wave of hostility that aims to spread despair and weaken the national feeling, as well as the danger of the spread of narcotics among the people."[/size]
    [size=45]In this regard, President Barzani called on religious scholars and teachers to work on spreading national and patriotic awareness, deepening the principles of political, religious and social coexistence and true religiosity, and confronting extremist ideology.[/size]
