    Economy News _ Baghdad
The development road represents one of the strategic economic crossings in the world, and a meeting point for various goods and commodities, in addition to being an international corridor for various commodities and goods coming from Asian countries to Europe and vice versa, which prompted many specialists to demand the speedy completion of the project, which would double The country's non-oil revenues, activating the industrial, agricultural and tourism sectors, as well as its ability to eliminate a large percentage of unemployment. Economic specialists praise the government's steps aimed at bringing about a developmental revolution in the country, praising the strategic development road project, which was revealed earlier by Prime Minister Muhammad Shia' al-Sudani, which aims to link the large port of Faw with Turkey to reach Europe.
The project is witnessing the participation of regional countries, namely Saudi Arabia, Turkey, Syria, Jordan, Kuwait, Bahrain, Qatar, the Emirates and Iran. While the government revealed that the project will generate annual profits for Iraq in the amount of $4 billion, and will constitute a quantum leap in the economic and commercial reality of the country, it pointed out that its length will reach 1,200 kilometers.
The media spokesman for the Ministry of Planning, Abdul Zahra al-Hindawi, pointed out that "the path of development would move the tourism sector clearly in Iraq, whether for tourists coming to the country or those who go to other countries through Iraq, and it also works to improve the standard of living of citizens and reduce unemployment rates."
Al-Hindawi pointed out that the project represents a high development value and an important addition to the Iraqi economy, because it contributes to a number of issues that would move many joints at the level of the economy and the various development sectors, indicating that this road consists of two axes, the first is the land road, and the other axis is railways. Al-Hadid, pointing out that the project represents a dry channel that contributes to increasing the pace of movement of Iraqi ports, as it helps to speed up the process of transporting goods across Iraqi territory from the Gulf in the south to northern Iraq and then Europe, and thus would increase trade exchange between countries through Iraqi territory, and this process It will contribute to generating a lot of job opportunities and moving various economic joints.
Al-Hindawi stressed that the project will witness the establishment of industrial and economic cities and will work to enhance the process of localizing industries and other issues with advanced technologies that will support development in Iraq and move the tourism sector clearly, in addition to activating the agricultural and housing sectors, which will be positively affected by such development projects.
Despite the great positives that are hoped to be achieved, Al-Hindawi believes that this path is of great importance in increasing the annual growth of the Iraqi economy, clearly reducing unemployment rates, improving the standard of living for individuals, and reducing poverty rates as well.
