Economic expert Rashid Al-Saadi confirmed: The World Bank's announcement that Iraq's debts have risen to 152 billion dollars is due to the governments' failure to adhere to the plans, advice and warnings that were presented to them regarding the management of the economic file, which led to the accumulation of those debts.
Al-Saadi explained: “The World Bank, before approving the general budget for the year 2023, issued a report in which it indicated that 20 billion dollars were spent on only about 100,000 people, and some of them are employees who receive one salary, and another section multiple salaries that reach 9 salaries at the same time.” Indicating that “multiple salaries is a widespread and well-known issue for everyone, even a few days ago we saw one of the senior officials taking a social welfare salary, and this is a major disaster, in addition to the fact that many of the non-needy who own modern homes and cars, yet they take social welfare salaries and thus deprive the needy and those who deserve to be taken care of.
