The Minister of Interior of the Kurdistan Region and the head of the Border Crossings Authority discussed the file of the border crossings in the region.
A statement of the Ports Authority, which was received by "Al-Iqtisad News", stated that, "Based on government directives, it is necessary to communicate with the Kurdistan Region of Iraq and follow up on common issues related to the file of border crossings."
He added, "A meeting was held in the region's Ministry of Interior, bringing together the region's interior minister, Riber Ahmed, and the head of the border crossings authority, Major General Omar Al-Waeli, to discuss the border crossings file in the region based on the principle of partnership, coordination and integration in accordance with the constitution, the laws in force, and the government curriculum."
