     The Parliamentary Oil and Gas Committee warned, on Saturday, of the consequences of returning the Peshmerga to the province of Kirkuk, indicating that the return of Barzani's party to the province would lead to the theft of more federal oil for the benefit of the Kurdistan region.

    Committee member Alaa Al-Haidari said in a televised statement, followed by Al-Maalouma, that "the Kirkuk crisis has an electoral timing, and the will of the people of Kirkuk is higher than any political agreement, and that the return of the Democratic Party to the headquarters of operations provoked the feelings of the people."
     He pointed out that "the Democratic Party is accused of controlling oil sites in Kirkuk and Nineveh and smuggling oil through Turkey without returning to Baghdad."
     He added, "The export of oil through Ceyhan stopped by an international decision, not a local one, and that talks with Turkey need a strong Iraqi negotiator."
      And the former member of Parliament, Jassim Muhammad, had confirmed in a statement to Al-Maalouma that all components rejected the return of the Kurdistan Democratic Party and the Peshmerga to Kirkuk Governorate, adding that the headquarters that Al-Parti insists on acquiring dates back to the history of the bitter events that took place in the previous period.
