Member of the Finance Committee, Representative Yousef Al-Kalabi, said that the committee began the first hosting to find out the facts about disbursing the Kurdistan region’s share and the problems that accompanied this matter.
Al-Kalabi added, during a statement he made to various media outlets, that “this government bureaucratic committee is officially authorized to negotiate with the region’s delegation and held 4 meetings, where the two committees committed to the first meeting and there were signatures stating that all decisions were agreed upon and binding on the budget law, but after researching the budget law, its mechanisms and instructions, it was found The law will deal with the Kurdistan region as well as other provinces and ministries.”
He continued, "This disbursement mechanism is not consistent with the disbursement mechanism that the region learned about in previous years. Therefore, according to the mathematical data, the government is considered to have 3 times the Kurdistan region's financial entitlement."
He added: “Therefore, the federal government issued a decision from the Council of Ministers authorizing the Ministry of Finance to lend to the region through banks, and this decision is not based on a law and the authority will go to the banks as a loan.” Ended 29/H
