    [size=45]Undersecretary of the Ministry of Oil for Gas Affairs, Izzat Saber, stressed the importance of accelerating the implementation of the “Nebras” petrochemical project, describing it as one of the most important strategic productive industrial projects.[/size]
    [size=45]Saber said while chairing a meeting at the Ministry’s center for the concerned oil entities and companies, according to a statement issued by the Ministry, that the meeting included discussing the items of the initial report of the global consultant regarding the project’s axes, the economic feasibility study, and the requirements for the stages of implementing work for the investment project, in a way that achieves the highest financial and economic benefit for Iraq and the contributing parties. in it .[/size]
    [size=45]He expressed his hope that a final vision would be crystallized after discussing the observations with the concerned authorities and project partners.[/size]
    [size=45]For his part, the spokesman for the Ministry of Oil, Assem Jihad, said that the Nebras Petrochemical Project aims to build a giant industry in this field and is being implemented in two phases, the first of which is preparing the study and designs, and the other phase is direct implementation.[/size]
    [size=45]He added that the basic principles of the Nebras project were signed by a decision of the then Council of Ministers on January 28, 2015, noting that the project relied on exploiting natural gas surpluses to manufacture multiple petrochemical products, with a planned production capacity of approximately two million tons annually to form a solid industrial base that supports industries. Plastic and rubber, and all related industries, to enhance private sector factories and laboratories.[/size]
