    Advisor to the Prime Minister for Investment Affairs, Mohamed Al-Najjar, said that the government is now providing many facilities to residential city construction projects that address chronic population pressure, as it realizes that the reality of implementation in the country requires the adoption of new work mechanisms that help achieve a real flow of construction of all stages of the project without Any confusion, and in a way that suits all segments of society.

    Al-Najjar said in an interview with “Al-Sabah” followed by “Al-Iqtisad News” that the reality of implementation is heading towards changing its mechanisms in a positive direction that is in harmony with the requirements of real investment away from complexity and bureaucracy, and this will be felt by those who work in the investment sector inside the country, pointing out that the reality of the country’s situation requires Real work stems from a real will to achieve change in the business climate.
    He explained that we begin our work by adopting strategic trends that achieve solutions for the housing sector in the country, and this strategy primarily addresses the housing problem and provides solutions in other sectors, as it works to move the labor market, especially since we know the large volume of work in this particular sector, which requires the presence of companies.     Al-Najjar pointed out that the companies that will apply to establish residential projects and cities will take into account the extent of their financial solvency and the advanced technology they possess, as well as the social benefits they provide to the local community and other matters.     He pointed out that the government will start from new visions for implementing business in the country, and believes that the private sector has an important role in the national economy, and that it will take its real role in building the country, and benefit from the shift in performance within Iraq, which aims to facilitate the business climate in the country.

    He stressed that the real private sector is capable of handling the responsibilities of building residential complexes that have a role in providing solutions to the housing problem, and work can be done to implement residential cities that suit all segments of society and are presented to the public at prices that suit the income of each group.
    In turn, the economic affairs specialist, Ahmed Al-Nisani, confirmed that Iraq needs major work in the housing sector at a time when the country’s need for housing is growing and has reached 4 million housing units. This is a large number that requires great effort and work, and requires providing ideal performance climates that support the implementation of projects.
    He pointed out that the completed housing units that are offered to citizens in more than one residential complex have become unsustainable due to their high prices. Here, the competent authorities must take this matter into account and determine the true cost of these units, then add the legal interest rate and display it in front of all citizens, and when a large demand occurs, it goes.
