Excuse me, this is gang behavior.. Al-Abadi storms the session of senior politicians at the Eleketi conference

    Sulaymaniyah – 964

Former Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi returned with controversial statements, when he addressed senior politicians, in strongly worded terms, and was quick to ask their forgiveness for the “painful truth.”

Bold statements from Haider Al-Abadi: The framework is sharing wealth and regions... and I refused to sign

Al-Abadi attended, alongside a large number of politicians, at the fifth general conference of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan in Sulaymaniyah.
Among those attending were the President of the Republic, Latif Rashid, the President of the Kurdistan Region, Nechirvan Barzani, the head of the Al-Hikma Movement, Ammar al-Hakim, the Asaib Ahl al-Haq movement, Qais Khazali, and other prominent figures.

Part of Haider Al-Abadi’s speech, followed by Network 964 :

Party work in Iraq needs a comprehensive re-establishment that begins with ideologies and does not end with organizational frameworks, and in a way that suits developments in reality, challenges and historical transformations in our country and the world. It is not possible to keep pace with the times and perform political, societal and national tasks without reconsidering the adoptions, foundations and frameworks of the existing parties.
The Iraqi parties must re-establish themselves in accordance with the entitlements, privacy, identity and interests of the national state.
Just as there is no democracy without parties, so there are no successful parties without true democracy on which the structures, culture, and working mechanisms of organizations are built.
Citizenship, democracy, pluralism, coexistence, and development are the foundations of national party ideologies that can represent society and achieve the goals of the people on the ground of equal rights and duties, equal justice, and high patriotism. I affirm here that the parties’ continued evasion of the entitlements of rebuilding and establishing a serious and honest national democratic institutional ideology will no longer return. It is impossible for the parties themselves and the regime to retreat and defeat, God forbid.
No country can stabilize or advance except with the stability of its political system and its support by the political forces. The righteousness or corruption of the political system depends on the righteousness or corruption of the forces concerned with the system and the spirit of power. Here I emphasize the necessity of righteous, progressive, pure, and patriotic political forces, and that they be equal to the tasks of building the state and the integrity of the system. In a way that serves the interests of the state and enhances the people’s confidence in the regime.
Allow me to say that swallowing up the state, taking quotas from the regime, renting out goods, and being subject to the will are characteristics of gangs (I apologize for that) and not characteristics of political forces that respect themselves, their role, and their mission.
The truth sometimes hurts, but this is a reality in our political life today.
There is a difference between state parties and a party state. Parties are political institutions that target the authority to administer government according to a declared program that is voted on electorally, and they do not have the right to swallow the state with its institutions. Any swallowing will turn the state into a party state, so it will live in contradiction, conflict, and existential anxiety.
