    Information/Baghdad..
Former Minister Wael Abdel Latif confirmed, on Saturday, that there was no need for the Khor Abdullah Agreement with Kuwait after the Federal Court issued a decision to invalidate the ratification of that agreement.

Abdul Latif said in a statement to Al-Maalouma, “The Federal Court’s decisions oblige all state institutions to implement their decisions, as only 75 representatives voted on the Khor Abdullah Agreement, which is a clear constitutional violation.”
He added, "The Khor Abdullah agreement was built on a mistake and may bring disasters to Iraq by all accounts, as Kuwait crossed the Iraqi border 7 times according to official maps."
He pointed out that "the agreement was canceled and invalidated when Kuwait was unilaterally demarcating the borders with the United Nations, and all Iraqi maritime rights will be restored."
The head of the Parliamentary Rights Bloc, Saud Al-Saadi, had confirmed in a previous interview with the Al-Ma’louma Agency, “The Iraqi government is required to implement the decision of the Federal Court invalidating Law 42 of 2013, which concerns the ratification of the agreement regulating maritime navigation between Iraq and Kuwait in Khor Abdullah.” Ended / 25
