Baghdad/Al-Masala Al-Hadath: The head of the State of Law coalition, Mr. Nouri al-Maliki, received the Ambassador of the Russian Federation.
Al-Masala publishes the text of the statement:
The head of the State of Law coalition, Mr. Nouri al-Maliki, received in his office today the Ambassador of the Russian Federation to Iraq, Mr. Elbrus Kutrashev.
The two sides exchanged opinions and viewpoints on Russia's relations with Iraq and exchanged visits between officials of the two friendly countries. Regional and international developments
and the repercussions of the Russian-Ukrainian war were also reviewed.
The President of the State of Law Coalition expressed his appreciation for the importance of Iraqi-Russian relations, and Baghdad’s quest for balanced relations with all friendly nations, including the Russian Federation, stressing the necessity of working to strengthen these relations to include all fields.
For his part, the Russian ambassador affirmed his country's desire to develop partnership and cooperation relations with Iraq, expressing his hope for continued communication in various frameworks and fields to serve the interests of the two friendly peoples.
