On Monday, Minister of Health Saleh Al-Hasnawi announced the achievement of a financial savings of approximately $40 million as a result of negotiations to reduce the costs of dialysis.
Al-Hasnawi told the Iraqi News Agency (INA), followed by “Al-Eqtisad News”: “As part of the policy of rationalizing spending and adopting fundamental controls in contracts, and as a result of negotiations based on the interest of the Iraqi citizen, the ministry was able to reduce the cost of dialysis contracts by an amount of approximately $10.” For every session.
He added, "This saved a total amount of approximately $40 million for the contracts implemented by the ministry compared to previous contracts."
