    [rtl]Baghdad - Iraq Today:

The Karrada Misdemeanor Court in Baghdad ruled that political analyst Muhammad Nanaa be imprisoned and fined, following a lawsuit filed by Prime Minister Muhammad Shiaa Al-Sudani.

Lawyer Ahmed Al-Bawi, representative of political analyst Muhammad Nanaa, said in a press statement, “The Karrada Misdemeanor Court issued a decision ordering the suspended imprisonment of Muhammad Nanaa Hassan and a fine of one Iraqi dinars and a million personal bond, following the lawsuit filed by Prime Minister Muhammad Shiaa Al-Sudani.”

It is noteworthy that the office of Prime Minister Muhammad Shiaa Al-Sudani filed, last May, a new lawsuit against political analyst Muhammad Nanaa, the second of its kind within a few months, on charges of the crime of slander in accordance with the provisions of Article 433, and the court then decided to release him on financial bail.[/rtl]
