Baghdad/Al-Masala Al-Hadath: The former Kurdish representative in the Iraqi parliament, Ghaleb Muhammad, considered that the crisis in the salaries of the region’s employees and various other problems will not be solved, because the nature of the Kurdish delegations that go to Baghdad is partisan.
Muhammad said that most of the Kurdish delegations that go to Baghdad are partisan delegations that represent the ruling parties and do not care about the interests of citizens in the Kurdistan region.
He added that the economic crisis and the issue of salaries will not be resolved because the delegations that go to Baghdad are of a partisan nature and only care about their interests and do not want the interest of the Kurdish citizen, which is their last concern, considering that therefore we will not find a solution to this crisis and the suffering will continue.
The regional government said that the region's negotiating delegation with Baghdad presented at the meeting accurate numbers and information on all topics related to the region's financial situation, budget, and salaries.
Delayed salaries for employees in the Kurdistan region of Iraq have been an ongoing problem for years, and have worsened recently. This led to protests by employees, and mutual accusations between Kurdish parties about the reasons for the delay.
The Patriotic Union of Kurdistan, the Democratic Party, is accused of being responsible for the delay.
The Kurdish parties exchange accusations of corruption and mismanagement.
But the Democratic Party accuses the central government in Iraq of responsibility for the delay.
