Contracting with an international company to repair government banks

Advisor to the Prime Minister for Economic Affairs, Kazem Al-Hassani, said that the Governor of the Central Bank negotiated with one of the largest companies in the world, which pledged to reform government banks within a period of six months.
Al-Hassani added, in an interview with “Al-Sabah,” that the company will meet with government banks to find out its plans for reform within the specified period, pointing out that local public and private banks will deal with 40 foreign correspondent banks that will allow them to open credits with complete ease, after they used to go to banks. Neighboring countries to obtain it after the decline of this service since 1982, with the exception of the Iraqi Trade Bank.
