Baghdad/Al-Masala Al-Hadath: The Supreme Judicial Council announced that, for the first time, using techniques that are difficult to hack, it has begun adopting video conferencing programs to transcribe the statements of witnesses and complainants.
The judiciary media said in a statement received by Al-Masala, that the Presidency of the Nineveh Court of Appeals began recording the statements of witnesses and complainants on Tuesday via video conferencing programs and using modern and advanced technologies that are difficult to hack.
He explained that the Nineveh Court of Appeal held an electronic session today with the Central Criminal Court of the Lisbon District in Portugal to record the statements of defense witnesses for defendants being tried in the Lisbon Court because they were involved in working with terrorist groups in Nineveh Governorate, indicating that the defendants fled to the state of Portugal after the liberation operations as refugees. .
The statement pointed out that this comes in implementation of the decisions of the Supreme Judicial Council that it took earlier this year to approve witness testimony remotely and via modern electronic means of communication in the Courts of Appeal of Nineveh, Babylon, Dhi Qar, and Basra, with the aim of accelerating the completion of trials and cases.
