A Central Bank statement received by Alsumaria News stated, “The discussions conducted by a joint Iraqi delegation (the government, the Central Bank, the [url=https://www.alsumaria.tv/Entity/4095463395/%D8%B1%D8%A7%D8%A8%D8%B7%D8%A9 %D8%A7%D9%84%D9%85%D8%B5%D8%A7%D8%B1%D9%81 %D8%A7%D9%84%D8%AE%D8%A7%D8%B5%D8%A9 %D8%A7%D9%84%D8%B9%D8%B1%D8%A7%D9%82%D9%8A%D8%A9/ar/]Association of Iraqi Private Banks[/url], and the banking sector represented by a number of private banks) were completed in [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] and returned to [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] yesterday morning. The discussions culminated in an agreement to conduct Banking arrangements between Iraqi banks and their Turkish counterparts through intermediary banks to ensure commercial exchange for major merchants and importers and to make and pay transfers in the euro and Turkish lira currencies.”

He stressed, "The agreement to organize trade exchange for small merchants and retailers (dinar for euro or Turkish lira) under arrangements with combined transfers according to a commercial organization that guarantees the integrated cycle of the commercial process (depositing in dinars inside [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.], paying in euros or lira in [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.], shipping goods from [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] to [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.])." This would facilitate the external transfer of thousands of Iraqi merchants and spare them from working through non-fundamental means.”

He added, "This comes in the context of regulating trade and foreign transfer in accordance with sound practices and standards and within the framework of the comprehensive plan pursued by the Central Bank to open multiple channels, outlets, and currencies with the aim of preserving the stability of the financial system, protecting it from risks, and achieving general price stability by covering imports at the official price." This is confirmed by controlling inflation rates.”
