Al Issa: The Fifth World Media Summit will be a global platform for exchanging experiences and expertise

The advisor to the Iraqi Media Network, Muhammad Rashk Al-Issa, confirmed that the Fifth World Media Summit, which will be held in China, will be a global platform for exchanging experiences and expertise among media outlets in the world.
Al Issa said: “The Fifth World Media Summit will provide a good atmosphere for friends and participating countries to exchange information, knowledge, get to know each other and exchange experiences in the field of media.” The Fifth World Media Summit is scheduled to be held under the auspices of the New China News Agency (Xinhua) from the 2nd to the 8th of December, with the participation of officials, leaders of institutions and representatives of the media from various countries of the world.
Al Issa explained in a statement carried by Xinhua News Agency before his travel to China to attend the summit activities: “This summit will enhance cooperation and exchange between the countries participating in it as it provides a good atmosphere for the cross-fertilization of ideas and the exchange of opinions, and consideration of the latest developments taking place in the field of media. Especially since the media is developing in the field of multimedia, social communication, frequencies, satellites, and also in the field of media content that is circulated through the media or media platforms.”
Al-Issa believed that this summit will provide a new atmosphere in terms of Iraqi-Chinese cooperation to learn about the experiences of the two sides and come up with a common vision for future work between them, adding that “this summit will also provide an appropriate atmosphere to come up with a specific and clear vision of what the future will lead to on the subject of media, especially media exchange between Iraq.” And China, since we are in Iraq, we aspire to find common ways and visions with the Chinese media, especially since Iraq is considered a center for news and its global circulation in the Middle East.”
He went on to say: "We in Iraq need this cooperation and exchange between us and our colleagues in the Chinese media." He also stressed the deep-rooted relations between Iraq and China since the establishment of diplomatic relations 65 years ago, expressing his hope that the development and prosperity of relations between the two countries will increase in all fields and at all levels in light of the Belt and Road Initiative, which will be in the interest of both countries.
In response to a question about adapting to new platforms to quickly disseminate information, Al Issa said: “I believe that the official and major media outlets in the world must come up with consistent visions in order to adapt to the work of new platforms, new media, or new social media platforms to provide media content that can He competes with his credibility, transparency, and reporting of news.”
He added, "I believe that through the positive atmosphere at the summit, the meetings, and the mixing of ideas and meetings, a vision can be reached that serves the provision of honest, purposeful, and transparent media content," noting that, "In this way, it is possible for us to cooperate as global media outlets in confronting the misinformation presented by fake news networking sites and platforms.
