Abdullah said in a statement today that, in order to preserve the integrity of the electoral process and protect it from any negative effects; Al-Sudani directed all military and security commanders, leaders and directors of security services, and commanders of security and military formations, to work and commit to ensuring the free choices of members and fighters in private voting, and not to interfere, in any way, in their electoral choices.
He added that Al-Sudani also directed "to prevent any signal or intimation that the affiliates and fighters understand as electoral dictates, and he stressed the highest level of control and follow-up regarding any case that interferes with the electoral choices or links the party to the electoral vote of the affiliate."
The Special Forces Major General continued, saying, “The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces stressed, in his directives, the importance of the free electoral voice of members and fighters, as citizens whose freedom of political choices is protected by the constitution and laws, just as they are protected against any pressure or attempts to influence other than their desires and choices
