    Former MP Jassem Al-Bayati confirmed on Wednesday that the regional government takes over the salaries of employees sent from Baghdad, pointing out that the region's employees suffer from delayed disbursement of salaries despite their being sent from Baghdad as loans to the region.

    Al-Bayati told Al-Maalouma, “Sulaymaniyah suffers from not receiving salaries for more than 3 months despite the federal government fulfilling its promise to send 700 billion dinars per month in loans to the region in order to deliver salaries.”
    He added, "Although the regional government received the aforementioned amounts from Baghdad, it did not distribute them as salaries to employees, which raises many question marks about these funds and the purpose of delaying their disbursement."
    He stated that "the regional government is ignoring the decisions of the federal government by exploiting the sums sent from Baghdad, as it is unreasonable for the Prime Minister to seek to lend to the region for the Kurdistan government to exploit these sums and not deliver them to those entitled to them, which requires the government to intervene urgently and transfer their salaries directly to Baghdad."
