    Economy News - Baghdad
The Anbar Environment Directorate announced, on Thursday, monitoring environmental violations in converting the type of land from agricultural to residential and industrial in Ramadi district.
Anbar Environment Director, Qais Najeh Abd, said in a statement reported by the official news agency, “There are many violations of agricultural lands in Anbar Governorate in general and in Ramadi District in particular, represented by converting agricultural areas into residential and industrial areas,” pointing out that “ These violations are considered an environmental violation, as they were carried out without governmental approvals.”
He added, "A number of service projects have been established in the governorate, but they still lack green spaces and government parks," calling for "stopping the bulldozing of agricultural areas to preserve the environment."
