On Saturday, the Chairman of the Parliamentary Finance Committee, Atwan Al-Atwani, called on Prime Minister Muhammad Shiaa Al-Sudani to focus on the services file in the areas east of the capital and its surroundings, stressing the importance of solving the problems of the residents of these areas, who have waited a long time and been patient for improved services.
Al-Atwani said in a statement received by Al-Maalouma, “The Prime Minister must personally intervene to resolve the issue of referring the five infrastructure projects in Baghdad Governorate to implementation. This includes establishing an integrated sewage network for the areas of Al-Nahrawan, Al-Wahda sub-district, Sabaa Al-Bour sub-district, and Abu Ghraib district.” And Al-Rashidiya.
He pointed out "the great delay in referring these strategic projects for implementation, despite allocating the necessary funds and including them in the service plan," stressing that he is "actively following up on this file to ensure a final solution and begin the implementation phase, with the aim of ending the suffering of residents of the outskirts of the capital as a result of water drainage problems."
