    Baghdad today - Baghdad
Today, Monday, the Parliamentary Security and Defense Committee commented on the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Muhammad Shiaa Al-Sudani, granting the footsteps to officers and members of the Federal Police, excluding other categories, on the occasion of the Victory Anniversary.
Committee member Yasser Watout told “Baghdad Today” that “granting the foot is one of the powers of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, and he has the freedom to do so, but granting the foot to officers and members of the Federal Police came because of his visit to the headquarters of this combat force, which had a major and distinguished role in The battles to liberate Iraq from the terrorist organization ISIS.
Wattut stated, "The Sudanese may conduct visits to the rest of the military formations and grant them leadership, as he did with the officers and members of the Federal Police. This matter has nothing to do with any political or electoral issue, and we believe that granting leadership will include all units on the anniversary of the victory."
Yesterday, Sunday (December 10, 2023), the Ministry of the Interior announced that the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Muhammad Shiaa Al-Sudani, had granted an advance to federal police officers.
