    The National Investment Authority confirmed on Wednesday that Al-Jawahiri City will provide 30,000 housing units and 10,000 plots of land.
    The authority’s official spokesman, Muthanna Al-Ghanmi, said in a statement, seen by Al-Iqtisad News, that “the Prime Minister’s government program identified from its inception a strategy to address the housing crisis, as many meetings were held for the cities team to address this crisis from its roots and resulted in the establishment of integrated sustainable residential cities and not Expansion by establishing residential complexes with a limited number of housing units.
    He added, "Population centers were chosen in Baghdad and the rest of the governorates, far from city centers and bottlenecks," noting, "The National Investment Authority announced 5 residential cities as international investment opportunities and as a first stage at the end of August of this year."
    He pointed out that "the first city whose license was granted by the National Investment Authority at the beginning of December was Al-Jawahiri City after organizing the economic relationship between the state and the investor through an economic model that exists in various European countries, where the investor will participate in providing serviced lands or ready-made housing units for the state." A certain percentage of the project area and prices for residential units are available to citizens.”
    He continued, "The New Al-Jawahiri City project will include the allocation of 25% of the lands served with all its infrastructure, which the state will distribute to different categories according to the categories approved by the National Housing Council."
    He stressed, "Al-Jawahiri City, with 7,121 dunams, will provide 30,000 diverse housing units and 10,000 serviced residential plots of land to be distributed to citizens of all categories."
