    Economy News - Baghdad

[rtl]Advisor to the Prime Minister for Transport, Nasser Al-Asadi, identified the reasons for the delay in completion of the suspended train project in previous years, while confirming that the project will solve the traffic crisis in Baghdad.[/rtl]

[rtl]Al-Asadi said, in an interview followed by Al-Iqtisad News, that “the suspended train project will solve the traffic crisis in the capital, Baghdad,” noting that “it will pass through more than 80% of Baghdad’s areas.”[/rtl]

[rtl]He added, "The capacity of one car is 150 passengers, and the train includes 6 cars, meaning the total will be 750 passengers per train," indicating that "the implementation period of the suspended train project will be 48 months."[/rtl]

[rtl]As for the reasons for the delay in completing the project in previous years, Al-Asadi explains, “There was no clear decision by successive governments regarding the project, and now the decision is clearly implemented.”[/rtl]

[rtl]According to the Ministry of Transport, the project designs and all requirements for its implementation are complete, and that the project constitutes an integrated transportation system in the capital, Baghdad, as it will provide important services to most areas with high population density by passing through the outskirts of Baghdad and reaching the vital centers within the capital.[/rtl]
