The issue of removing American forces from Iraq after the recent “Baghdad strike” has many repercussions, amid varying reactions and different positions. One side strongly demands, the other strongly rejects, and the sovereignty of Mesopotamia remains the most affected.

The House of Representatives, during its vote on Resolution No. 8 in 2020, which concerned the removal of American forces from the country’s territory, went through the same situation that the current political blocs are going through, as the Shiite forces and some Sunni forces succeeded in passing it, while other Kurdish and Sunni blocs refused. Vote in favor of the resolution.
The Prime Minister, Muhammad Shiaa Al-Sudani, had confirmed that his government was in the process of forming a bilateral committee to schedule the removal of foreign forces from Iraqi territory, after the attack that targeted a site for the security forces, in the center of the capital, Baghdad.
    "fixed positions"
The Kurdistan Democratic Party, which prevented voting in favor of expelling the Americans, is today expressing its position, and throwing the issue into the "boss" of the government, holding Baghdad responsible for the presence of the Americans.
The leader of Barzani’s party, Wafa Muhammad, said in an interview with the Maalouma Agency, “Removing American forces from Iraq is considered a sovereign matter for the Iraqi government,” stressing that “the Kurdistan region does not interfere in the issue of removing the Americans.”
He added, "The American forces are present on Iraqi territory through agreements," reiterating his assertion that "the decision to remove the American forces is linked only to the Iraqi government."
Regarding the reason why the Kurds did not vote on the 2020 resolution, Wafa explains, “The Kurdish and Sunni components did not vote to remove the American forces, due to their fear of political marginalization.”

    "advance warning"
The alliances that America establishes with its friends have always been based on certain foundations that it sets, chief among which are “interests” and achieving what it desires, which is what warns this party or the one allied with it, as its relations are “temporary.”
In turn, the leader of the State of Law coalition, Haider Al-Lami, identified the political blocs that rejected the decision to remove the Americans from Iraq, while sending a message to these forces.
Al-Lami mentions, in an interview with the “Al-Ma’louma” Agency, that “the Iraqi Parliament voted on Resolution No. 18 in 2020, which included the removal of the American forces, which then assassinated the two martyrs (the leaders of Al-Nasr), and a quorum was obtained from the Shiite forces by completing it, in addition to four representatives from Sunni component.
He points out, “There are political forces in Iraq that may not want to remove the American forces for several reasons, which may be based on the lack of understandings with the other components,” pointing out that “there are forces from the Sunni component that also refuse the Americans’ exit from Iraq, in addition to the forces located in Kurdistan.
The leader of Al-Maliki’s coalition confirms that “this matter requires restoring confidence between the political forces, which in turn leads to a unified speech in Iraq,” stressing that “the American forces are practicing various types of terrorism against the Iraqi people, and this is completely unacceptable.”
Al-Lami continues, “If America rejects the political request submitted to remove them from Iraq, tomorrow it will be a popular demand, since American actions do not stop at the Shiite component, but may even go so far as to kill the Kurds and Sunnis if interests conflict with (the Great Satan).”
The American attacks and transgressions against the country’s sovereignty must be made clear to all political blocs, as Iraqi sovereignty belongs to everyone. As for personal interests and the attempt to cling to them, they are attempts that “do not enrich or gain fat” and end in failure. Ended / 25 R
