The Ministry of Commerce announced the establishment of a permanent exhibition in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia entitled (Made in Iraq), while the country will participate in a specialized exhibition in the United Arab Emirates during the next month, as part of the efforts made to support the national product.
Director of the General Company for Exhibitions and Commercial Services at the Ministry, Mustafa Nizar Al-Ani, said in a statement reported by Al-Sabah newspaper, followed by Mawazine News, that establishing a large, permanent exhibition in Saudi Arabia comes with the aim of supporting Iraqi exports belonging to the Ministries of Trade and Industry, especially since the Kingdom participated in the work of the Baghdad Exhibition. The International Conference, in its last session, included 140 companies representing various services and activities, revealing Iraq’s participation next month in the International Cold Food Exhibition, which will be held in Dubai.
He pointed out that his company is preparing to hold many specialized exhibitions during the current year and until the beginning of 2025, making the Baghdad exhibition an important economic forum and a real opportunity for meetings between owners of local and international companies, to close gaps in local markets, exchange expertise and experiences, and present various investment opportunities for various sectors, as its session enjoyed The current project, with the participation of 20 Arab and foreign countries and 850 companies, while the occupied areas exceeded 20 thousand square meters.
Al-Ani stated that the exhibition witnessed a large turnout, especially for the direct sales pavilions for Egypt, Syria, India, Pakistan and Kazakhstan, in addition to the presence of 80 local companies belonging to the private sector, represented by food products and construction materials, in addition to 260 local companies from the public and mixed sectors, distributed between two main pavilions, and also participated. Investment bodies in Baghdad and the governorates, with a special pavilion and presenting investment offers, including the establishment of industrial cities
affiliated with the Ministry of Industry.
He stressed that the continued participation of Arab and foreign countries in the Baghdad International Fair sessions is a message to the world that Iraq is a destination that attracts all countries of the world by establishing its investment projects, especially neighboring countries that are working to strengthen relations and cooperation in all fields, in addition to concluding agreements and memorandums of understanding that work to achieve Supporting government and institutional work and directing it to the right path.
