    [size=45]The Private Sector Development Department in the Ministry of Commerce announced, on Sunday, the formation of a joint research team with the Iraqi Society for Quality Management Systems to set evaluation standards for private sector institutions in accordance with the modern management system (ISO).
    The Director General of the Private Sector Development Department, Ibtihal Hashem Sabet, said in a statement, “The Private Sector Department worked during the events of the Baghdad International Fair to hold meetings, workshops, and meetings with representatives of the Iraqi private sector, as well as associations, unions, and federations, with the aim of coordinating to facilitate the work of the private sector and establishing a partnership.” real with the international private sector.”
    She added, “The Private Sector Department held a meeting with the Iraqi Society for Quality Management Systems, which is authorized by the Ministry of Higher Education to prepare a road map that includes goals and standards for future work that aims to evaluate private sector institutions in accordance with the modern management system (ISO).”
    She pointed out that “the minutes of the meeting held with the association agreed on basic principles, the most important of which is setting standards for Iraqi private sector projects, including laboratories, factories, and institutions, as well as preparing a training plan targeting senior management in the Ministry of Commerce and the Private Sector Development Department.”
    She pointed out that “the goal of forming the team is to set standards for quality management for Iraqi laboratories and factories according to foundations and concepts determined by the research committees that review them in the field to determine the extent to which quality systems and standards are applied.”
    She stressed, “The Private Sector Development Department is responsible for inventorying the laws, regulations, and instructions entrusted to it to develop the private sector and forming coordination committees that include both parties, as well as the Quality Department in the Office of the Minister of Commerce.”
    She pointed out that “determining the operating date depends on the priorities determined by the Private Sector Department, first industrial or commercial, then companies contracting with the Ministry of Commerce.”[/size]
