Director General of the Ports Company in Iraq, Farhan Al-Fartusi, announced the completion of all concrete works for the submerged tunnel project within the Grand Al-Faw Port next June.
Al-Fartusi said, in a statement followed by Mawazine News, that “after the completion of the concrete works, the process of digging the channel will begin, which will be prepared for floating and sinking to take place at the place where the concrete blocks will be lowered.”
He pointed out that "site dredging work will also begin in the same month."
He pointed out that "all bridge supports have been installed within the five berths project in the Grand Faw Port."
