Masum soon in Saudi Arabia

BAGHDAD / NINA / Foreign Minister Ibrahim al-Jaafari announced on Saturday in a joint press conference with Australian Foreign Minister Julie Bishop that President Fuad Masum will begin soon an official visit to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
Jaafari said that the President of the Republic Fuad Masum, will visit Saudi Arabia without disclosing the topics to be addressed by President Masum with Saudi leaders, but observers believe that they will discuss the security issues and joint cooperation to address the risks of terrorism not on the Iraqi arena alone, but regionally and internationally.
In a related development, Jaafari pointed out that the Iraqi government will work to convince the Saudi authorities to reverse the decision to execute Saudi preacher Sheikh Nimr al-Nimr.
