[size=45]President Rashid stressed that “the frictions and movements directed by the Iraqi armed factions against the Americans did not provide anything for the Palestinian people, and did not affect the course of events in Gaza.”[/size]
[size=45]He called for "decisive decisions to be taken regarding the security relationship between Iraq and the United States, with the government being the primary source of the decision after consultation with the political forces and in cooperation with the presidencies."[/size]
[size=45]The Iraqi President warned that “the government alone will bear the burden of making decisions in this file (the relationship between Baghdad and Washington),” and stressed “the necessity of informing the Iraqi people of all crucial decisions, in commitment to the democratic principles on which the regime in Iraq is based.”[/size]
[size=45]According to the sources, President Rashid “reviewed the history of the relationship between Washington and the Iraqi political forces and the role of the United States in supporting the opposition forces and their overthrow of Saddam Hussein’s regime, and then its cooperation with the Iraqi forces in establishing the new political system,” noting that he “praised before the leaders of the political forces the role of the United States.” The United States of America, and its participation in the fight against terrorism, and then its major role, in cooperation with the rest of the international coalition forces, in supporting Iraq to defeat the terrorist organization (ISIS), just as he noted the supportive role of “Iran in this field.”[/size]
