    Baghdad today - Baghdad  
    The President of the Republic, Abdul Latif Rashid, confirmed today, Sunday (February 18, 2024), that the next stage will be a continuation of construction, achievements and services,  while noting that serving the citizen and meeting his needs is a noble goal that the government seeks. 
    The Presidency of the Republic said in a statement received by "Baghdad Today", "The President of the Republic, Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid, received today, Sunday, in Baghdad Palace, the Governor of Babylon, Adnan Fayhan." 
    The President of the Republic stressed, according to the statement, that “Babylon Governorate needs special attention in a manner commensurate with its ancient historical and cultural status,” stressing “the need to pay attention to improving the services provided to visitors and tourists who come to the governorate from various countries.” 
    The President pointed out that "the next stage is to complete the stage of construction, achieve achievements, provide services, and consolidate security and stability in the country," stressing "the necessity of building bridges of communication and cooperation between the official and the citizen, meeting their legitimate demands, and overcoming the obstacles they face when reviewing government departments and institutions."
    He stressed that "serving the citizen and meeting his needs is a noble goal that the government seeks." 
    In turn, the governor gave, according to the statement, “a brief on his future plans to improve the governorate’s security, economic, and agricultural conditions, as well as confront water scarcity and drought and its dangerous repercussions on the lives of citizens.”
    “The governor also reviewed the program that was prepared to improve the reality of services, complete incomplete projects, and rehabilitate the infrastructure to complete the development and construction process in the country,” according to the statement.
