    Economy News - Baghdad
Today, Sunday, the Ministry of Construction and Housing announced the development of a new vision for the second package of projects to relieve traffic congestion, while indicating the preparation of designs for bridge projects scheduled to be constructed between the Karkh and Rusafa sides.
Director General of the Ministry’s Roads and Bridges Department, Hussein Jassim Al-Moussawi, said, “The Ministry’s plan is continuing regarding projects to relieve traffic congestion,” noting that “the Ministry’s vision regarding the second package projects does not include launching projects all at once, as is the case in the first package projects,” according to the agency. Official.
He explained, "The new vision for the second package projects came as a result of logistical reasons, as well as the inability to bear the huge amount of projects by launching them at once."
He added, "The ministry's plan will include launching and completing a project, and then launching a new project complementary to the first project, as is the case in the Fine Arts project, where the project will be launched to organize the Sarafiya intersection, create a late corridor bridge for the Sarafiya iron bridge, organize the Buratha intersection, and end with Al-Shaljiya intersection."
He pointed out, "New projects are still under design, including bridges on the Tigris River linking the Karkh and Rusafa sides," noting "the approval of these projects by the Prime Minister."
